Overview

This qualification is at AQF level 8 and reflects the role of individuals who apply highly specialised knowledge and skills in the field of organisational learning and capability development. Individuals in these roles generate and evaluate complex ideas. They also initiate, design and execute major learning and development functions within an organisation. Typically, they would have full responsibility and accountability for the personal output and work of others.

This qualification may apply to leaders and managers in an organisation where learning is used to build organisational capability.

At present, there are no licensing, legislative or certification requirements which applies to this qualification.

Entry Requirements:

The entry requirements of this course for all students

Have successfully completed a Bachelor degree, or
have successfully completed an Advanced Diploma qualification in Australia, or
have successfully completed a 2 or 3 year diploma offshore, or
completion of Australian Year 12 Certificate or equivalent and five years full-time relevant workplace experience

In addition, meet the following requirements:

  • Be 18 years of age or over
  • Have demonstrated English proficiency level of at least IELTS 6.0 [or equivalent as approved by the Department of Home Affairs (DHA)]

Course Duration and Mode of Delivery

The course is delivered over a period of 52 weeks equating to 36 contact study weeks plus 16 weeks for holidays.

The mode of delivery is 20 hours per week on a blended delivery of 14 hours face to face in the classroom plus 6 hours online study.

Assessment Method

The assessment of each unit of competency will take place during the course. Assessments will vary from unit to unit and may take the form of an open book theory assessment / activities, questioning, assignment, project work, practical activities in a simulated work environment, role plays, case studies, presentation, written reports or a combination of the aforementioned.

Students are provided with a Student Assessment Booklet at the commencement of each unit of competency and the Booklet sets out the range and types of assessments that will be sued for this unit.

Pathways to Further Study / Career Opportunities:

Once students have completed the BSB80120 Graduate Diploma of Management (Learning), they will be able to seek employment or continue their studies into higher education.

Information will also be provided to students on further training options available to them to further enhance their skill set such as Master in Business (externally) or other related qualifications.
